RECREATIONAL RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS CLASSES

Recreational program classes focus on developing proper posture, hand-eye coordination, balance, flexibility, speed, stamina, endurance, and strength. The program allows gymnasts to progress at their own pace while learning the fundamental body and apparatus skills in Rhythmic Gymnastics with a variety of creative apparatus in a fun environment. Emphasis is put on enhancing performance skills and constant further development. Gymnasts will learn a group routine and participate in our Year End Show performance.

Great introductory program for girls ages 4 and up!

  • Send an E-transfer to newnorthrgc@gmail.com.

Registration is required to be paid in full before classes begin. NO registration will be processed until full payment is received. Once your full Registration is received and processed, a confirmation email will be sent.

Pre-Competitive Rhythmic Gymnastics 

This program is designed for girls that have already taken our recreational classes and would like to prepare for a more challenging level. Gymnasts in this program must have attended classes at Newnorth in previous years and must have been selected by a Newnorth Coach.
Selections are held at the start and end of each year. For new gymnasts that register later in the season, they have to undergo an assessment by a Newnorth Coach in order to be a part of our Pre-competitive program.

Competitive Rhythmic Gymnastics 

Competitive Rhythmic Gymnastics has its own restrictions and regulations related to the difficulties in the routines, compulsory body elements, and apparatus. The routines are very dynamic, fast moving, pre-acrobatic, requiring stamina, endurance, flexibility and grace.
There are three gymnastics levels training in the center – interclub, provincial and national. This helps to establish the succession of the athletes’ generations in both physical and mental ways and prepare younger athletes for the amount of workload similar to one in the more advanced category.

Gymnasts compete in numerous local, provincial, national and international competitions throughout the season. Girls are accepted into our Competitive Program after they undergo assessment by our coaches who then decide whether they are ready for this Program or should consider taking our Pre-Competitive Program.
